JPG to SVG Converter – Free, Fast & No Upload

A JPG logo is easy to find and hard to scale. Blow it up for a banner and the compression blocks start to show. This JPG to SVG converter traces simple artwork into vector shapes so it stays sharp at any size, and it does everything inside your browser.

Convert JPG to SVG

Add your JPG files, check the settings and download them as SVG. Batch conversion, no sign-up and no watermark.

JPG is harder to trace than PNG

Tracing relies on clean edges. A JPG carries compression noise, faint halos around shapes and slightly shifted colors, and the tracer may treat that noise as extra detail. The cleaner your source, the smoother your vector. If you also have a PNG version of the same logo, PNG to SVG often gives a tidier result.

Trace a JPG in three steps

  1. Add your JPG with drag and drop or “Choose files”.
  2. Select SVG under “Convert to” and choose a low number in “Colors in SVG” for flat designs.
  3. Download the SVG, open it in a browser, and zoom in on curves and corners to judge the trace.

Pre-clean the JPG for a better vector

  • Crop tight around the artwork so the tracer ignores empty space.
  • Increase contrast so edges are clear against the background.
  • Use the largest version of the file you can find.
  • Avoid screenshots of a screen, because moire patterns create false shapes.

Where tracing works and where it fails

Logos, hand-drawn signatures, stamps and simple icons are good candidates. Portraits, landscapes and any image with soft gradients are poor ones, because the tracer must create huge numbers of tiny shapes. For those images, keep the JPG or convert it to a modern raster format such as JPG to WebP.

Fixing rough traces

Edges look wobbly

Start from a larger original, or clean the artwork in an editor before converting.

Fine details disappeared

Raise the value in “Colors in SVG” a little and trace again.

The background became a colored box

JPG has no transparency, so the background is part of the artwork. Remove it in a vector editor after tracing.

Private and free

Your image is traced in your browser and never uploaded. No registration and no watermark.

Can any JPG be converted to SVG?

The converter will process any JPG, but only simple artwork produces a useful vector. Photos create heavy, rough results.

Why does my SVG look different from the JPG?

Tracing redraws the image from shapes, so small details and soft gradients can change.

What number of colors should I use?

Two to eight colors suit most logos. Increase only if details disappear.

Will the SVG have a transparent background?

Not automatically. The JPG background is part of the picture and becomes a shape unless you remove it in an editor.

Is the converter free?

Yes, with no sign-up and no watermark.
