Scanners and archive systems often produce TIFF files, but sending a TIFF to a client or an office usually fails. This TIFF to PDF converter turns TIFF scans, including multi-page ones, into a PDF in your browser.
Convert TIFF to PDF
Add your TIFF files, check the settings and download them as PDF. Batch conversion, no sign-up and no watermark.
Scans and TIFF
Many document scanners and fax tools save to TIFF because it is lossless and supports several pages in one file. That is excellent for archiving, but TIFF is not a format people expect to receive by email, and many browsers cannot display it. PDF solves both problems.
Convert TIFF to PDF
- Add your TIFF or TIF files with drag and drop or “Choose files”.
- Select PDF under “Convert to”.
- Pick a “PDF page size”: Same as image, A4 or US Letter.
- Turn on “Merge all images into one PDF” if you want a single document, then download.
Multi-page TIFF files
A multi-page TIFF is read page by page, so each page of the scan becomes a page in the PDF. If several TIFF files should become one document, add them in order and merge them.
| Feature | TIFF | |
|---|---|---|
| File size | Very large | Depends on the scan content |
| Quality | Lossless, high bit depth | Keeps the image as supplied |
| Transparency | Supported | Page based |
| Animation | Multi-page, not animated | Not supported |
| Compatibility | Scanners, print, archives | Any PDF reader |
| Best for | Archiving | Sending and printing |
Keeping the PDF a sensible size
Scans at 600 dpi can produce very large PDFs. If the document will be emailed, set a smaller “Max width (optional)” in the converter, or convert the TIFF to JPG first with TIFF to JPG and then build the PDF from the JPG files.
Troubleshooting
The PDF is huge
Reduce the pixel size or use fewer pages.
Pages are in the wrong order
Use “Clear all” and add the files in the right sequence.
Margins appear
Use “Same as image” for no margins.
Private
TIFF files are converted in your browser and not uploaded, which suits confidential scans. No account and no watermark.
Can I convert a multi-page TIFF to PDF?

Why is my TIFF so big?
TIFF uses little or no lossy compression and often high color depth.
Which page size should I choose?
A4 or US Letter for printing, or “Same as image” for no margins.
Can I merge several TIFF files?
Yes. Enable “Merge all images into one PDF”.
Is it free?
