CR3 to JPG Converter – Free & Fast

CR3 is the newer Canon RAW format used by recent EOS cameras. Plenty of older software cannot read it. This CR3 to JPG converter makes standard JPG pictures from your Canon CR3 files.

Convert CR3 to JPG

Add your CR3 files, check the settings and download them as JPG. Batch conversion, no sign-up and no watermark.

Why CR3 gives trouble

Canon introduced CR3 after CR2, and it is a different container. Older versions of Windows, macOS, Photoshop plug-ins and photo apps may not open it until they are updated. Converting to JPG skips the compatibility problem.

Convert CR3 to JPG

  1. Add your CR3 files with drag and drop or “Choose files”.
  2. Keep JPG selected under “Convert to”.
  3. Set “Quality” and “Max width (optional)”.
  4. Wait for the server and download the JPG.

Server conversion

CR3 files are processed on the server. Your file is uploaded, converted and deleted immediately after conversion. Modern CR3 files can be large, so convert one or two at a time.

Compatibility note

Support for brand-new camera models can lag in RAW decoders. If a CR3 from a very recent Canon fails to convert here, the decoder may not support that model yet. Canon software or an updated RAW editor will handle it.

Tips

  • Keep the CR3 files as your negatives.
  • Check a test file first.
  • Resize for the web with “Max width (optional)”.
  • Use CR2 to JPG for older Canon files.
